the baby's haze
sitting in the middle of hot corner coffee, i laid my head down and took a nap, length unknown. when i awoke, my eyes didn't work anymore - every time i blinked to try and make things fresh, they ended up blurry. with strain and effort i could focus on things a few feet away but they defaulted to across the room. it was like pushing aside a haze made of translucent wheat to see my way ahead. all of this now seems like years ago to me. i'm going to bed.
