cnn.com has a fun game where you vote on various bracketed (tournament-style) picks for who john kerry will pick as his vice president. i'm enough of a political science dork, despite my claims to the contrary, to enjoy doing this. i'm also enough of a women's studies dork to be miffed at a process that's based around obnoxious considerations like matching the hispanic candidate against the chinese one for the non-black racial minority strategy - although the thing is, that's totally how kerry and company are probably going to think about it, so it makes a certain amount of sense. sigh. but, the point is - i guess my undergraduate education hasn't left me completely unaltered.

for the zero people who care about this...Some of my picks were no-brainers (tom brokaw was clearly placed in there as a joke, and all of the new england well-off liberals are clearly not what the ticket needs) and others are a bit fanciful (especially bill clinton, which would be a dream ticket if not for the obvious constitutional difficulties...).
