ballroom dancing made a man of me
as i've sort of discussed before (in one of my post-krush-girls entries - couldn't tell you which one), dancing is actually pretty similar to skinnydipping in terms of the sacred/profane thing - although dancing has less of a sacred space and the profanity is more radiant, since many in the room are quite intent on being erotic. and oh, they are good at it. i told a soft, round, probably evil woman that she was absolutely gorgeous. she probably thought i was quite silly, but she suggested we have coffee anyway. this could well be one of those fictitious coffee proposals which some people say instead of "goodbye" or "i'm gonna go get some beer," but you never know. ooh mama.
anyway, though, between that, the swimming last night, and a million hours of walking around with travis (including a tense showdown with some country people) (their words, not mine. as in, exact quote: "these guys don't know who they're dealing with! we're country people, not city folk like you.") .... i'm super gross and for once am going to get a shower before bed.
