i was going to write some sort of cockamamie thing as if this song was a tribute to one of our own who passed before his time - the gag being that geoff reacher's not dead, and this cover, while directed in the second person at him, is hardly a tribute - but i figured, better to let the song and this explanatory note speak for themselves.

this would be longer and with a less stupid ending, but my roommate apparently slipped in here in the dead of afternoon and absconded with his speaker cable, so I need to buy another one of those if any more recording is to proceed. anyway i had fun making it. covering geoff reacher songs is a good excuse to go back to my classic "cram in more samples" approach to production, which you'll be hearing lots of on the upcoming doctor casino anthology CD, not yet titled.
